Welcome to the 2010 MREMAG / MROL 'WishList' Poll

In association with Pat Hammond's MREMAG and about a dozen of the Hobby's print magazines, Model Railways Online (MROL) is conducting the '2010 Model Railway Wishlist poll' during March 2010.

As in previous years, the poll is being run for voters to vote for new or upgraded models and on the assumption that if a manufacturer makes a specific model, that they will make it's variations at some point, including subclasses, numbers and liveries. Therefore, we have not included specific numbers or liveries.

Once voting starts, it will not be possible to change your votes.

This year, we will only run three polls, one for each of the major interest scales, namely 2mm, 4mm and 7mm. Within those polls, voters will be able to select the wheel standards they wish to vote for. Last year, for example, we ran separate 00, EM and P4 polls and it became apparent that voters had voted in more than one of the three, primarily because P4 and EM modellers see 00 models as 'candidates for conversion' and hence, they voted in both polls. This year, we have combined the standards so that voters can vote for exactly what they want.

For those who actually voted in the trial, the database has been completely cleared for the real poll and you will need to vote again.

May we emphasise that this is not a poll specific to MREmag or MROL readers. It is a poll for anyone to vote in. It is also run by volunteers for the benefit of modellers of the British scene and the benefit of the hobby as a whole. Please spread the word, especially through your clubs, societies, chat groups and websites, so that we can receive the views of the largest number of railway modellers and pass them on to the manufacturers.

Happy Voting!
